Microfiber Towel

Microfiber Towel is the most-sought tool in car care! But are we getting the real microfiber towels? The microfiber cloths have over 200,000 strands of fibre per square inch. One strand of this Ultra Microfiber is 10 times finer than silk and 100 times smaller than a human hair.

Microfiber vs Cotton

Most of the microfiber towel sold in the market are not made of genuine microfibers, we have a large selection of top-quality microfiber tools for every car care job, whether it’s for interior cleaning, drying, quick detailing or glass care.

Please check our microfiber towel guide for more details of microfiber towels, towel care and different types of towels and their usages.

What's GSM?

GSM stands for grams per square meter (g/m2). High GSM fabric is typically thicker, and if there is a pile, it is more plush. Heavier GSM towels will absorb more liquid than lighter towels.

Most of the general purpose microfiber towels are having GSM between 200-350. Towels with lower GSM, meaning they have lowe weights and lower pile, are are less likely to streak or lint on glass, and are a bit more aggressive. Heavier weights are more durable, and have a more gentle cleaning action. 300 GSM stands for the most popular weight of microfiber towels, such as the All-Purpose microfiber car towel.

Towels with a higher GSM, meaning 360GSM and over, like our buffing microfiber towels, are typically used for surfaces that need to be treated with extra care (automotive finishes, musical instruments). The higher pile pulls debris away from the surface where it is less likely to scratch the during the wiping process.

Blend

Microfiber is made by blending two fibers, polyester and polyamide. The polyester gives the material strength and durability, the polyamide gives the microfiber a softer, silkier texture and allows the fabric to be tremendously absorbent and quick drying. Most commonly 80/20 and 70/30.
